16/25mm Wallplate

The wallplate should always be fitted to a solid wall e.g. brick, block or stone. It comprises of the following components

  • Aluminium Wallplate
  • PVC Wallplate Top Flashing
  • PVC Wallplate Underclad
  • PVC Wallplate Trim
  • Weatherproof Flipper Gasket

The aluminium plate when fitted to the wall becomes the back support for the glazing bars. There is a curve on the back of the plate, which allows it to pivot so that the correct roof pitch can be achieved. Once the installation is complete the PVC wallplate underclad is clipped into position. The black flipper gasket slides into the 'H' shaped rebate on the wallplate. When using 16mm Polycarbonate the flipper locates into the lower groove, 25mm the upper groove. It prevents rain and dust from entering in to the back of the wallplate. The wallplate trim is used to fill the gap between the glazing bars (where they are fixed to the wallplate) and the Polycarbonate sheet.
