Cancellation & Returns

You have the right to cancel your order at any time before a confirmed delivery date, free of charge. You have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days after receiving your products without giving a reason, providing the goods are in a re-saleable condition and in the original packaging. Such notice must be provided in writing by mail, fax or email.

On cancellation for whatever reason, you must return the goods to us at your cost. All goods are returned at your risk and any damage caused due to insufficient packaging or carrier negligence will be charged to you or deducted from your refund. Where the goods are being returned because they are faulty, incorrect goods or because of unsuitable substitution by us, we will meet the cost of return but we ask that you allow us to nominate the carrier.


If you do decide to cancel your order or wish to return your products to Meridian Building Plastics we will refund your credit card within 30 days of receiving the goods provided they are in a re-saleable condition. Special orders or made-to-order items or sizes cannot be returned. If you wish to cancel special or made-to-order products or sizes then you must send written notification via letter, fax or email to this effect. Damages In the event you should receive your goods damaged it is your responsibility to notify us within 48 hours of receipt and to ensure that any delivery notes or carrier paperwork has been signed accordingly. We will arrange replacement items for you when we have received the damaged goods back into stock and they have been checked.

Shortages At the time of delivery please thoroughly check to ensure all items have been received. Should any items/parcels be missing please record this on the carriers delivery/consignment note at the time of delivery. Please notify us immediately so that we can take action to find or replace the missing items.

Risk As soon as the product(s) have been delivered to your door you, the customer, are responsible for said goods. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order and goods will usually not be left without a signature. Delivered goods are the customers responsibility, and any loss or damage to the goods shall be at the customers own risk. If you require the goods to be left without a signature, you must advise us in writing by either post, fax or email, that you accept full responsibility for any loss, damage or missing items.
It is the customers responsibility to notify Meridian Building Plastics of any incorrect goods in writing within 48 hours of receipt at which point we will make the necessary arrangements to replace the goods if appropriate.

We can only accept liability for non-deliveries if we are notified in writing within 3 days of the advised/anticipated delivery date.


Meridian Building Plastics can deliver to any UK address, but deliveries to Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Highlands or Scottish Isles will incur additional charges. Should the delivery address be different to the billing address, both addresses must be present on the order. We do not deliver to Post Office (P.O.) boxes or shipping agent addresses.

All deliveries (except small postal items) must be signed for unless you give us permission in writing to leave the goods. But please note that if you give Meridian permission to leave the goods unsigned for, all responsibility for the goods transfers to the customer once the goods have left our premises and that any shortages or damages can not be claimed for.
All delivery timescales are subject to product and delivery slot availability, small parcels may be delivered by Royal Mail. Deliveries via carrier will be between the hours of 7am and 6pm, we are unable to confirm a time. We shall endeavour to deliver all orders within 5 working days, you will be contacted prior to despatch to confirm a date. Meridian will select the most appropriate carrier for your goods. This means your delivery may arrive in more than one batch to ensure your order is transported in the best possible way
Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to any delivery date, Meridian Building Plastics shall not be held responsible for any costs such as, but not restricted to, labour, down time, damages, expenses or any other consequential loss incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date.

If delivery is unsuccessful on the first attempt, a second attempt will be made on the following day. Should the second attempt be unsuccessful a card will be left at your address allowing you to contact the delivery service and arrange a collection,. Should you ask the carrier to arrange a third attempt a charge of £12 plus vat will be applied. If you can not collect your goods within 5 days or have not paid for the re-delivery then it will be returned to Meridian. All returned orders to Meridian will be refunded via the method of payment**; you will incur an additional £25.00 plus vat charge for the attempted deliveries. ** Goods will be inspected on return and charges will be incurred for any damaged goods and be deducted from your refund.

Charges Carriage charges are calculated as you add goods to your basket, this calculation takes into account product size, weight and postcode. A general guide is shown below but please check your basket for accurate carriage charges.

Force Majeure Meridian shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
